Every major league player who claims to be Christian has a chance to present his faith every time he comes to the plate or enters the game. That,s because teams allow players to pick the music that plays as they stroll to the plate or run in from the bullpen. A precious few of the professing believers, however, take advantage of this by suggesting Christian music.  There is so much good music out there with strong , godly lyrics and a listenable sound it is inexcusable for Christian players not to take advantage of this opportunity. Instead , many sadly opt for music you wouldn,t want your kids to listen to-- apparently unable to discern how powerfully negative music can be. Here are the guys who get it, along with the music they are letting 30,000 or so fans hear when they play ball: JULIO FRANCO chose "People Get Ready ...Jesus is Coming "by Crystal Lewis and " God is in Control" by Twila Palis . Milwaukee,s GABE GROSS has the MercyMe classic "I Can Only Imagine "playing on the Miller Park sound system when he step in. Detroit,s TODD JONES often enters to the strains to MercyMe ,s " Last One Standing ." Cardinals' superstar ALBERT PUJOLS has designated " Different Now " by Out of Eden as his at bat song. REGGIE SANDERS steps in to the worship song " Awesome Wonder" by Kurt Carr. Its sad to see so many others miss out on a great chance to make a positive impact instead of simply going along with the crowd.
