As of now, the Irish are in rebuilding mode. The most highly touted Freshman quarterback in some time has arrived on campus and people are just waiting til he starts. His name is Jimmy Clausen and he is the younger brother of University of Tennesee alums, Casey and Rick Clausen. Though, those two struggled with the Volunteers, none of them were recreuited with such a mystique and aura that Jimmy has.
Recruiting has been new to Weis, who hasnt done so bad. Thanks in large part to the legacy and dignity that Notre Dame Football has. Weis, as everybody remembers, was the former Offensive Coordinator of the SuperBowl Champion New England Patriots. Weis helped build 3 time SuperBowl Champion, 2 time SuperBowl MVP, Tom Brady.
Notre Dame is known for their terrific history. Their terrific Stadium. Their terrific fans and their legendary coaches. Now, its Coach Weis' turn, who is under tons of pressure to win on college footballs biggest stage.
