Notable Matchups

St. Louis (5-0) @ Baltimore (5-0) - Battle of the undefeateds.  The irresistible force meets the immovable object.  Which will triumph?  A terrific game.  One of the best offenses against one of the best defenses.  Can Bulger win it?

New England (4-1) @ Dallas (3-2) - This is a game which a lot of people think could be a potential upset.  It very well could be.  But will it be?

New Orleans (3-1) @ Seattle (3-2) - Seattle's had a pretty tough schedule this year and a win here would thrust them into playoff and NFC West contention.

NY Giants (1-4) @ Atlanta (2-3) - Would you really watch this?  I head CBS has a good comedy lineup.

Recapitulation

St. Louis loses a fantastic game to Baltimore, knocking them from the ranks of the undefeated.  Matt Schaub gets his first win as a Texan, upsetting the Jaguars on a day where Byron Leftwich, Tim Couch, and David Garrard all see action.  Miami outkicks Cleveland in overtime, essentially the final score should read: Jay Feely 6, Phil Dawson 5.  Cleveland has lost three straight and Charlie Frye's seat has gotten a little warm.  The Jets knock the Eagles from the ranks of the undefeated, while Tampa Bay breaks through with their first win over a struggling Vince Young and Tennessee.  Green Bay is knocked off by Washington, leaving sole control of first place in the NFC North to the Bears, who were victorious over Minnesota.  Arizona is dropped to 1-5 by the surging Panthers while New England and San Diego move to 5-1, beating Dallas and Oakland.  Seattle drops New Orleans, while sneaking up  on the Rams.  And then the Giants win a snoozer on Monday Night Football.  A ratings nightmare for ESPN.
