Phillies lost last night 4-2 but took 2 of 3 from the Marlins. Kendrick pitched another good game going 7 innings and giving up only two runs.
Phillies picked up lefthanded hitter Russell Branyon from the Indians for cash. The Phillies have only had 4 bench batters for the last week. This is his 6th team in 6 years. he seems to be an all or nothing hitter. He is a .229 career hitter. He strike outs once in every 2.47 Ab' s and on the other side hits a Home Run every 14 AB's.
Geoff Geary was sent to AAA Ottawa to make room on the 25 man-roster.
