My Disclaimer:  This blog is defending Barry Bonds.  It's not very long, and doesn't reflect my true opinion.  Just a few things rattling around the noodle.

His steroid use -- It hasn't been proved in court that Mr. Bonds took steroids or some other performance enhancing drug, but it's pretty obvious that he has used something.  His power numbers and his head size blew up to ungodly proportions where before they weren't anywhere close.

His Legacy -- Before the asterisks-era Bonds, he was widely considered one of the best all-around baseball players ever.  Great stealing, hitting, defense, and offense as a lead off hitter.   Then the current issues arose and he's been tainted since.

The defense of Barry -- Let's say the rumors ARE true and most of the MLB are taking some sort of performance-enhancer, and Barry and a few others are just the one's that have been brought to the public's attention.  Now, think about this logic, IF there are a lot of MLB players out there taking these, and still not doing as well as Barry Bonds, then he would still be considered THE greatest because of his ability to perform above everyone else even with the asterisk.  There are a lot of if's and shady area's to that arguement, but consider it.

Give me some more logic for this idea Fannation, lets see some gray matter power.
