Proof that the sporting world has gone mad...
ESPN has been promoting the **** National Spelling Bee for days now...they covered the second round on ESPN and the finals live, in primetime, on their sister network ABC. It's been on every SportsCenter for days. The anchors are spelling names, sports, and French words that I doubt the French even use.
And yes...we are talking about middle-school kids standing up in an auditorium spelling words.
Both ESPN.com and SI.com had the outcome as one of their top stories of the day.
The winning word was "serrefine", which is a surgical tool for clamping fine blood vessels.
I wish that the IDIOTS in the corner offices would remove the serrefines from the fine blood vessels to their brains and program SOME REAL SPORTS that us uber-fans actually care about!!!
