So how serious is this move?  The Reds don't need a fifth starter until Aug 18.  But due to the rules, unless there is an injury, Belisle cannot return for 10 days I believe.  So who gets the start on the 18th?

Well, on the roster, Gosling or Santos could spot start.  At Louisville, Elizardo Ramirez (2-3, 3.62) and Kirk Saarloos (0-2, 3.60) have MLB experience.  Ramirez showed a lot of promise last year in my opinion before arm troubles shut him down.  I don't see Richie Gardner (11-6, 3.06) getting a shot.  He was strong to start the year at Sarasota and then Chattanooga, but he has not dominated at AAA (4-4, 5.36).  Also, don't look for Tom Shearn (6-10, 4.31) to get the call.

The wild card entry would be Johnny Cueto (10-7, 2.89).  He was good at Sarasota, spectacular in Chattanooga and in three starts with the Bats (2-1, 2.25), he is on a hot streak.  The hottest prospect in the system not named Bailey or Bruce would provide a jolt of excitement to a dreary season.  He has K'd 130 in 130.2 innings with only 30 walks for the season.

The Bats rotation would appear to have Ramirez's turn fall on the 18th.  Cueto should be scheduled for the 17th so if he misses that turn, it could mean we get a glimpse at the future.

I don't think this is necessarily a slam against Belisle.  After back-to-back extra inning games, the Reds need bullpen depth and I am excited to see Bill Bray finally up with the big club.  Belisle will be fine and back up as well.  This gives him a little wake-up call and a chance to work on a few things.
