From the Hartford Whalers Booster Club website.

Sign a petition for a new arena in Hartford.

 http://www.petitiononline.com/HtfdNHL/petition.html

For those of you who may not be familiar with our organization, we have maintained our NHL booster club for the Hartford Whalers even though the team was moved out of Connecticut in 1997.  Our fan loyalty did not end with their departure, but continues in our efforts to remember the Whalers [and their place in NHL history] and the nonprofit organizations they supported while in Hartford and our love of hockey in general.   Maintaining our NHL associate booster club standing, also allows us to attend the yearly convention of booster clubs members and to share our love of hockey with other clubs when we do our road trips during the season.  We hold regular meetings and have social events for our members and their guests.  If this all sounds like fun to you and you would be interested in joining or having more information, or suggestions for our site, just email us  -- the deadline for online news is the last Monday of the month.

P.S.:  Remember to send a personal note to the Connecticut Speaker of the House [The Honorable James A. Amann, Speaker of the House, Legislative Office Building, Room 4105, Hartford, CT 06106-1591; 240-8500 (800-842-1902) Jim.Amann@cga.ct.gov] expressing your thoughts and wishes about NHL hockey back in our great State.  Do not forget to send a copy to Governor Rell (she also being a hockey fan) [The Honorable M. Jodi Rell, Office of the Governor, State Capitol, 210 Capitol Avenue, Hartford, CT 06106 (566-4840 (800-406-1527)].
