The WAC is the premier mid-major.  Top to bottom, they are clearly the best.  If any conference was deserving of being the 7th major conference, this would easily be the choice.  Last year, they had more BCS Bowl wins than the Big Ten, ACC, and Big Twelve.  Boise State was last year's Cinderella, and Hawaii is looking to go to a BCS Bowl this year.  They have the talent, system, and schedule.  Colt Brennan is the best midmajor QB since Ben Roethlisberger, and he has a chance to be the best since Ty Detmer.  He has the system and skills to make him one of the best ever.  They just need a good break with the winner of a conference to be mediocre.  If the ACC does poorly again, Hawaii could get an at-large.  Fresno State and Nevada always seem to be a good program.  New Mexico State has the capability to compete in this conference.  This conference has good chance to compete for a BCS Bowl year in and year out.

Key In-Conference Game: Boise State @ Hawaii, Nov. 28-This is the clear conference championship game.  Boise State and Hawaii both could be undefeated going into this game.  Boise State has a 14 game winning streak, and it might not end for a long time.  Hawaii, however, has the best potential to be the next Boise State.  While Boise State has a completley new offense, Hawaii has 14 returning starter.  June Jones is the top coach in this conference.  He runs a pass heavy offense, which teams haven't figured out yet.  Hawaii will win this game, and they will have an undefeated season.

Upset Alert: Boise State @ Fresno State, Oct. 26-Boise State is overrated this year.  Normally, when a team loses its quarterback, wide receivers, and linebackers, they aren't as good as they were the year before.  For some reason, experts are still predicting them to finish the season in the top 20.  They have very little experience on offense, and the front seven isn't great either.  Fresno State has the talent on the offensive side to win this game.  They are returning their entire offensive line, and Lonyae Miller has the chance to be a star.   He averaged 5.3 yards per carry.  With Dwayne Wright playing on Sundays, he will be the focus of the offense.
