The Phillies have a great next 6 games away against the Nationals and the Pirates. They find themselves 1 game behind in the Wild Card and 3 behind the 1st place Mets. This is a great place to pick up games. The following 11 games at home are with the Dodgers,Padres and the Mets so the Phillies need to as many of the next 6 games as possible
The Phillies played real well against the Braves taking 2 of 3. This was a big series and the two leftys ( Hamelsl and Moyer) pitched good games in the victories.
By the way is J.C. Romero a great pickup or what? He continues to do the job.
QUESTION: What to do with Adam Eaton? I would have to think that he would be removed from the starting rotation by now if the team had someone else to replace him. This may be so bad theat Durbin might become the 5th starter. Was there a worse free-agent signing than Eaton? har pressed to thinkof one.

They went 5-1 last time they faced the Nats and Pirates, and blew a game that stopped them from going 6-0. If they can go 5-1, they might have the wildcard lead at the end of these 2 series.
And I hate Eaton. He was good for a little while, but for the past 5 starts he HAS SUCKED.
