Coming into their rivalry game in front of a national TV audience today, the Army Black Knights had a chance to extend their season and head to a bowl game. At 5-6 coming in, Army needed the win to be bowl eligible at 6-6 and head to the EagleBank Bowl in Washington DC. But the Navy defense held Army's offense to just 3 points, shutting them down after the first quarter en route to a 17-3 win. As a result, the UCLA Bruins (6-6) will now meet the Temple Owls (9-3) in the Eagle Bank Bowl on December 29th @ 4:30 pm ET.
With the win, Navy (9-4) will have even more momentum heading into their December 31 match-up with Missouri in the Texas Bowl on NFL Network.
