The offseason is still young, and many teams are making moves that will make an impact down the road. For some players, huge pay raises are in order. For others, finding a job will be a difficult task.

 Today, Jason Bay announced that he wants to "move on" from the Red Sox. The star outfielder reportedly turned down a 4 year 60 million dollar contract offered by the Sox. Assuming Bay leaves Boston, expect the Red Sox to be first in line for Matt Holliday.

The Colorado Rockies announced that they are parting ways with 3B Garett Atkins. Atkins has been with the Rockies for 7 years.

Speaking of releases, Chien Ming Wang was not offered a contract by the Yankees. Wang really struggled down the road this season posting an ERA above 20 at one point. Needless to say, Wang won't be a highly saught after FA.

Jack Cust, former Oakland A's slugger who struck out 200 times a season, was not offered a deal by the A's. Cust spent much of his time with Oakland in the DH role so if Cust does get a contract, it will more than likely be with an AL team.

Kevin Correia, San Diego Padres starting pitcher did indeed wind up signing a deal with the Padres. The deal is for one years at an undisclosed amount. Many believed Correia would test the free agent market.

More players being cut from their teams, the New York Mets released 4 players today. Most notably, starting pitcher Tim Redding.
