So Michael Vick still wants to fight the charges, heh? I think when reality hits (if indeed it can penetrate that thick ego of his) he will be the fourth of the four to cut a deal on his dogfighting charges with prosecutors. If his other two co-defendants go through with their intentions and cop plea deals with the government, Vick is toast. There is simply no way he will be able to beat the charges because he apparently doesn't realize what is against him.
Even if Vick is innocent, or at least ignorantly culpable, the fact that he would have three people testifying against him who have had time to lock their stories together would be enough to put him away for the whole six years if he continues to act as though he has done nothing wrong. I really feel for him if he is innocent in this, and I'd be the first to write an apology blog dedicated totally to him if he is cleared (that is, cleared, and not set free based on a technicality), but all signs point to prison time.
Pacman Jones may not be far behind. Lord knows I've written enough about Jones lately, but his latest rant on Real Sports didn't help his image. He sounded like a kid in denial, saying he didn't feel responsible for anything that happened at the strip club. Okay, so maybe he didn't fire the shots, but he beat up a stripper for Pete's sake. What kind of man are you to do that? Just like any man can father a child but not all men can be fathers, you may carry the equipment, but that doesn't make you a man.
