I just read one of the most idiotic and infuriating articles I've ever read on this site.  Peter King just posted his football "dream teams" on SI.com, and all I can say is that I would never want him as the GM of my team!  Being only 22 years old, I'm not going to pretend to know more about historical players than Peter and his All-Time team.  My beef is with his RIDICULOUS "Current Team."  If you were to poll GM's around the league, they would laugh at some of these picks.

Being a Steelers fan, I feel particularly jipped over this list, as not one player from my team just two years removed from a Super Bowl is a starter OR reserve, but I'm gonna take as objective a look as I can at this.  Here are some differences that would be made I think any given GM would make:

TROY POLAMALU not being included as a starter is one stupid thing, but not even a reserve?  This is an absolute and biased insult to the highest degree.  What arrogance of Peter to think that somehow he knows of some better safeties out there when every other sportswriter in America would put Polamalu up there with ED REED as the best safeties in the NFL.  (apologies to BOB SANDERS) Polamalu, along with Reed, has established an entirely new breed of playmaking safety, and I dare Peter King to find a GM who wouldn't take Polamalu and Reed as their starting safeties.  The only reason Troy had a somewhat down year last year was because he had a shoulder injury all year.

Finishing with my Steelers beefs, not including either CASEY HAMPTON as a D-lineman or ALAN FANECA as an O-lineman is just weird.  I know that this defense is supposed to be a 4-3 and not a 3-4, but no one plays their defensive position better than All-Pro Casey Hampton plays nose tackle, and to not even put him as a reserve is crazy.  I don't think that I would include WILLIE PARKER as one of the three best RB's in the league, but I would certainly take last year's Pro Bowler over REGGIE BUSH and freaking MAURICE JONES-DREW on a truly CURRENT team. No knocks on those guys, but to call a couple of second-year players as the 2nd and 3rd best?

As mad as I am about Polamalu being left out, perhaps an even bigger mistake was the inclusion of VINCE YOUNG as one of the three best quarterbacks in the NFL.  Peter King is supposed to be an expert?  He must be the only person in America (outside of Tennessee) who thinks that.  I would rather have DREW BREES, CARSON PALMER, MARC BULGER, PHILIP RIVERS, or BEN ROETHLISBERGER, and those are just the ones off the top of my head!  When are people gonna learn; to be a successful QB in the NFL, you have to be able to throw accurately!  You have guys like Steve Young who could run with the best of them, but he also had the highest career passer rating of all time.  Go ahead and put Vince on the future team if you want (although I wouldn't even put him there), but do yourself a favor, Peter, and save yourself the embarrassment of putting him on the current team.

I seriously cannot believe I'm standing up for a Bengal, but CHAD JOHNSON not even being a reserve WR?

I'm not one to ever call a writer an idiot, because I usually acknowledge that they know more than I do, but this team is completely idiotic.

You have to take King with a grain of salt-

Remeber this was a guy who said take MOSS #1 in a fantasy draft a few years back.

Moss? That is pretty bad.

Yeah right man he should stink this year !
I bet he puts up great numbers.
Moss is going to fool a lot of nay-sayers !

Polamalu is the only one you should have a legitimate gripe with if you are a Steelers fan. I think you are reaching on Hampton and Faneca, and you are delusional on Willie Parker.

Polamalu and Faneca should definitely make first team, yet alone reserve. Wasn't Polamalu on the preseason cover of SI last year about how incredible he is. What happened in the past year? Nobody ahs passed him as the best safety in the league. Only Ed Reed has a case to be in the same class. Faneca and Steve Hutchinson are commonly considered the best guards in the NFL. Hampton is a reach only because of the "preferable" formation. Parker is a joke (at least for a dream team). The one guy I'm a little confused why I don't see any chatter is Hines Ward. Consistently, he is named by "football people" as being a great wide receiver.

I am constantly amazed at the disrespect Willie Parker gets from people. And no one has given me any reason!
