Dude, I agree, man. Last week, you and I had pretty regular comments on soccer and boy did the fans get upset. I have to agree with Jim Rome on soccer -- I wouldn't bash the sport every chance I get if the current fans wouldn't try so hard to make everyone like it. They're always in the faces of critics, pushing it hard to try and MAKE us like it. Get out of my face with it, take the critiscm, and enjoy the game. Maybe then, I would give a ratsass!

If you were to watch some matches in the English Premiership league or in the Italian Serie A, you would see higher levels of talent than what is regularly displayed in MLS. Much more fluidity and skill is involved because they have better players. If you have seen some matches from these leagues and still don't appreciate the game, you are much more qualified to say soccer sucks than someone who has only seen American soccer.

The worst anti-soccer argument is how the score is low. Maybe they should make a goal worth 7 points and people would be more interested?? Also, people who say it's boring, try watching a Pro-Baseball game on T.V. To me, it's like watching paint dry. It's all relative people. I'm not here trying to sell the sport, I'm just saying don't sell a sport short based on what you see in inferior American Soccer...

I got a soccer fan who keeps fanmailing me with his blog. He doesn't seem that insecure, so mabye you could rattle him/ her a little b/c this guy just don't give a dam if he's annoying me. I even threatened to like soccer less, but he seemed unfazed by it.
