With the very unfotunate start of the EPL season under their belts, I want to look at Manchester United's players, coaches, and their chances of taking the EPL title this season. The first match of the season turned out bad for Man. U, so bad that John O'Shea had to play striker. That's right, Wayne Rooney is out two months with an injured leg. And not to mention they have drawn their first two matches, one against Portsmouth and the other against Reading. In the latter of the two, Cristiano Ronaldo was sent off for head-butting a player. He has now been suspended for the next three league matches, which means that Man.U will be without their two best playmakers, Rooney and Ronaldo. So the question is, does Man. U still have a chance at the title? Yes, they do. There is more than enough time for them to make up for Rooney. With Tevez on the roster (finally) they will have a decent attack. When Ronaldo comes back, expect big things from him. As long as Man. U can stay at the top 1/2 of the table, they should be fine. But if they start to drop, then they could have trouble gaining enough points to win. But as far as my earlier prediction goes, I still support it. I believe Man. U can and will win the EPL Title this year.
I also have another idea for a new blog. Each week, I will have a Soccer Mailbag. You the fans will write me questions, and the best 3 or 4 will be answered every week. They can be about anything. They can be about predictions, rules, leagues, etc. This will also be a great place for any new soccer fan to learn at. Thanks and I look forward to chatting with you. Please have Soccer Mailbag Questions in by Saturday. Thanks.
