New England Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick will retire at the end of the 2007 season. With the Patriots heavy favorites to win the SuperBowl once again this year, the Patriots coach will supposedly retire because "there is nothing left to prove." Seems fair for a man who won is this decades dynasty. In the 1950's it was Paul Brown's Cleveland Browns. The 60's belonged to Vince Lombardi and the bruising Packers. The 70's was the era of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the "Steel Curtain." The 80's were none other then the 49ers under the late Bill Walsh and Joe Montana. The 1990's were ran by the "Big 3 in Big D." The new millenium was the Patriots era and this could be the end of that incredible run that saw Tom Brady evolve from 6th round pick that would be lucky to make the team, to 3 time SuperBowl winner and 2 time SuperBowl MVP. If they played the season on paper, the Pats would win have another after this year, Belichicks last.

Though the Patriots have become the team you love to hate because they win, it can be debated they wont win this year and thats not the only reason why. Even though they added Randy Moss a one-time SuperFreak of a reciever who used to run the NFL. Then drugs and injuries, among other things, have slowed the reciever and seemed to have stopped him in his tracks cold. But, the hype is real in New England and they are ready to take down Peyton Manning and the Colts to regain their SuperBowl status.

What if they lose again in the playoffs? What if he loses the Super Bowl? Does he stick around to prove that he can win another Super Bowl?

I don't think he'll retire UNLESS he wins the Super Bowl...and even then I don't think he will...

There would be nothing more amusing than for the Pats to not make the playoffs.
