So I didn't catch exactly what happened, but I think it's great that Eagle Hater realized what he did.  It's so easy to forget that once you throw a comment out there, targeted at an individual or not, meant as an insult or not, it's kinda hard to take it back before it does any damage. As a matter of fact if you dig deeper into previous posts on my blog you might find a relevant post/exchange that I had with someone else

There is a greater underlying issue at play I think.  People leave footprints behind online.  One of the first things that corporate recruiters do is hit the internet to dig up whatever they can on you.  I have even heard that during background checks they will straight up ask you for usernames/profile names online.  How is it going to look when one of them finds a picture of you on Myspace blasting through a beer funnel online to pass out later, or maybe an online conversation where the "color commentary" got a little racey?

We are already seeing this catch up to people.  There was that beauty pagent winner that got "busted" and lost her crown because of online pics of her making out with chicks and what not.  Now, I personally have problem with chicks making out and what not, but do you really want the world to know about your partying habits?  Throwing out racists comments is not against the law but it sure can be a great reason to not hire someone or maybe even lead to your dismisal from your current job/position/crown/NFL team.  "Conduct detrimantal to the team" is not just a sports term and the internet has made it WAY too easy to uncover your personal habits/actions.So word to the wise, particular the younger generation.  You can hide your face behind a computer screen, but not your words.  There is a reason why it's called the WORLD WIDE Web.

Now bare with me through the following metaphor:  Have you ever noticed in traffic how many people tend to pick their noses or rock out to their fave song?  It's because they are lured into a false sense that they are alone.  I mean they are isolated in the fact that they are in the car with the windows rolled up and are concentrating on driving, but then they somehow forget that people can see through their windows at you.  Trust me, I have been busted doing the most ridiculous air drum solo in my car on MANY occasions.  That's kinda like what the internet is, except maybe without so much nose picking.

You started out with corprate recruiters and ended up with nose picking... I didn't read it, but you must've been real deep.

Actually if you had bothered reading it, they were metaphors to something not really deep at all.

I agree. Kind of puts a new light on the internet for my generation. I'll make sure to cancel my membership to KKKgathering.com and SatanRocksMyWorld.org.

Good Blog. I have to admit, when I see people singing and drumming in cars it makes me smile. Rock On!
