Sorry that it has been so long since the last post, but people get busy and it's not like I'm getting paid for this. Anyways it's been about 2 weeks, and our mighty Maple Leafs have been decent. In their last 10 they're 6-4, which is fine but it wont be enough for the playoffs. We need an 8-2 to start making up ground.

 So on tap for the Buds is Buf at home tonite, followed by @NYI, Mon, @Pit, @Edm, and @Cal. I'm predicting 3-3 over this stretch. However they need to go 5-1 if they want to be looked at as a legitimate threat for the playoffs. There are 3 playoff teams during this stretch of games, so 2 or 3 wins over them would be a nice little unexpected boost. These teams are looking at us as wins, and its time that they got a wake up call. It's time that other teams start to respect the Leafs, and that is something that needs to be earned. Beating Buf, Pit, and Cal would go along way towards that.

On a different note, Vesa Toskala had been playing well in the absence of the Monster, and then he turned into the Toskala that we all know and begrudge. That preformance against Buf Friday night was aweful. I think Gustavsson is our #1, followed by Toskala. He gives us the experience that Gus lacks. There is also talk of trades all over. What ever they do I hope they are some how able to move Toskala for something.
