Hello and welcome back one and all.  Keeper has come out of his FanNation blogging retirement to bring you some of the decade's top goals.  Keep in mind that this is not a competition, just a celebration.  These goals were brought to my attention by various sites such as ESPNsoccernet, Fox Soccer, and Youtube.  I did not witness any of these goals in the first six years of the decade because my fandom did not start before then.  So if I leave anything off, let me know and I will do my best to add it to this.  Thanks and please enjoy the goals.

My oh my, what a goal.  What was seemingly nothing turned into one of the truly great goals of all-time!  Rivaldo, we miss you.

 

 

Gianfranco Zola with a backheel volley!  The most audacious goal I've ever seen.

 

 

Look at the turn that Bergkamp makes!  Ridiculous.

 

 

Zizou with a phenomenal left-foot volley!

 

Borgetti with a wonder header!  It froze Buffon!

 

Zlatan dribbles by everyone in route to this goal!

 

The greatest team goal in World Cup history!  20+ passes in a row with a great finish at the end by Cambiasso!

 

Messi dribbles and runs by everyone!  What a goal!

 

This goal helped shift the balance of power in Germany.  Grafite with a great run!

 

 

Wait, how did this get in here?  Oh well.  Great goal given the context! Absolutely brilliant from Steven Gerrard!!!

 

Sorry, had to make fun of him one more time before the end of the decade.
