I am disgusted everytime I tuned to ESPN and watch such ruthless killings of such innocent animals. For those who believe that fish don't feel pain read this:

http://www.animal-lib.org.au/lists/fish/fish.shtml

My god its disgusting how people treat these creatures. A hook threw there mouth and then suffocate by taking them out of there natural enviroment of the water, I mean I could only imagine if we hooked a land creature and suffocated it under water, what the outcome my be. People this is serious. Thousands of fish are being treated cruel every day, THERE MUST BE A STOP. I say lets start a petition online to stop such ruthless killings of such innocent animals. WE can put an end to animal cruelty.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I know what your thinking reading something like this. You are probrobly thinking two things. A) You agree or B) you think I'm some sort of nut. Chances are you are thinking B.

Why do most people think B. Well obviously the answer would be o well "it's just a fish" which brings me to my point. All these dog-lovers who say "Mike Vick is a monster", "deserves to be in jail", and are "Happy to see him go" need to understand it from his perspective. At one point during this operation he had to think "well its just a dog, who cares".

ONCE AGAIN, I am not defending Mike Vick or making it any less of what he did. But the way he is being protrayed as some sort of "monster" is complete bogus to me. Obviously, he didn't think what he did was that serious, or if he did, he didn't think it was serious enough to take bigger precautions than what he did. He did something that wasn't that big of a deal to him.

For instance when you go out fishing some people make look at that as animal cruelty. You personally make think those people as crazy. They may think of you as a monster. Are any of you right? Are you officially torturing and killing innocent animals? Or are you just fishing?

PETA has stepped to the forefront as the biggest protesters out of anyone in this and many people have backed them, which I find very funny. Really? The same PETA people laughed at on PTI? The same PETA people laughed at in that South Park episode? Those people are gaining support.

I feel bad for PETA members. They have to deal with people who now feel like they have a voice in animal cruelty when they have been screamin at us for years. But when they throw blood on coats is a funny nuisance. When they Picket outside of slaughterhouses, it's a cute story. But when they talk about dogfighting...NOW everyone understands. Now people will listen to what they have to say. Hmmm.

Look if you are against all forms of animal cruelty, I salute you. You have a cause you fight for and will stand up for. Good for you. BUT If you are a person just against dogfighting all of a sudden and can care less about any other animal then you need to calm down. Just as you see that fish as just a fish, Mike Vick seen that Dog as just a dog. So the way you scream at him he is an Monster, Don't laugh when people scream at you the same way for fishing.

Look I know dogfightin is illegal and fishing is not. But like I said people think that all animals should have rights, just like people think that all animals are just animals. It's not biblically stated that Dog is man's best friend, It just happen that our culture treated dogs higher than any other animal. That doesn't make a dog that much more of a special animal than say a fish. Chances are that if a virus killed every animal except canines guess who would become the new burgers? It's a sick thought but that would be the truth.

So before you write your next "Mike Vick should burn in hell" blog just rememer. Not everyone thinks a dog is man's best friend. Just like how some people think that fish should not be treated like they are. You may like fishings, Mike Vick Liked dogfightin. Does that make you two that different of people?

Anything is fine to me if it's for food. For sport, I disagree.

Well not "anything" but hunting and fishing for food are acceptable to me, but for sport, I disagree.

I've gone fishing for sport a few times, and the one time I caught something I felt bad and put it back in. I also heard about some sort of bait that doesn't need a hook, it gums up the mouth of the fish or something so you can reel it in without injuring it.

this is so dumb you vegetarian. i guess if we make it illegal to go fishing, than it should be illegal to kill ants. they feel pain too.

It's kind of like FanNation's motto - "If there is more than one paragraph, just read the title and make a comment regardless of what the person was actually trying to say."

Is killing fish and killing puppies different? On some levels yeah but on some levels not really. I appreciate the point you are making here.
