Ever since my boy Rice retired... i have been pretty bored with the quality of wide recievers in the NFL. You got guys that just run their mouths all the time (T.0. , Chad, Moss just to name a few) and guys that are so inconsistent, its frustrating to watch (Coles, Peerless, Burress etc...). I think the best guy in the game right now is arguably Marvin Harrison. He almost always comes out with 100% effort, doesn't talk a lot of crap, and doesn't cry about his touches or his team (of course, there isn't much to whine about when ur catching a lot and winning all the time). I would like to see him on a weaker team, just because as the front running wide out in the league (in my opinion) it would be interesting to see if he could still be an elite reciever, and if he could still be a class act.
Believe it or not, I think Harrison and Wayne are underrated. Now that may sound odd, since they are high on any fantasy draft, and were 2 and 3 in yardage last year. Everyone knows they are good. But whenever anyone talks about the Colts, its Peyton this and Peyton that. I hate to break it to people... but if you substituted any top 10 QB onto that team, they would be almost the same team. They might win 1 game less in a season (maybe 2 if i really wanna be nice) but they could get the same results for the most part with guys like Brees, Bulger, Palmer and Brady. Hell, even Favre would probably lead the Colts to the superbowl. I am not trying to say Peyton isn't good, cause he obviously is. I am just saying he doesnt deserve so much credit for the Colts. They are a sound team through and through.
It's tough. I want to cheer on the Colts for the unsung heroes like Addai, Harrison, Wayne and the offensive line. At the same time, I wanna root for anyone they play against, because I like the underdogs.
