06:46 PM ET  08.21 | Whether truth or rumors, I think it's a lack of respect for Alex Rodriguez that the Yankees aren't even going to think or resigning him. Yup, 21M is a lot of money, but since when did that matter to the Bombers? Heck, theyre paying Roger Clemens a lot of money to be suspended. It's their fault they sign a lot of players to fat contracts then they suddenly decide they don't want to play them. It's a shame that Johnny Damon is sitting down. The man deserves more than that. Do I think athletes are overpaid? Definitely. And many of them act like pompous braggarts like the world owes them a living. I think when a team signs a player they should play them. If not limit the goddam roster. I know teams stockpile on players so the other teams won't get them. Then the office of the Commissioner should step in and stop that. It's not helping the game. A-Rod has more than been good money to the team regardless of whatever woes he had last year. He stil had numbers that are way better than many of his teammates. You say, he folded in the clutch? Shame on Giambi for his steroids admission. Just what we need -- a holier than thou player. He hsould have just **** and played. Now in a moment of clarity he admits to usage! You've missed a lot of games, Giambi! Give the man, respect. Play Damon and re-sign A-Rod.
