The latest in our mock drafts is up -- this time it's Sports Illustrated's Mock Draft, featuring a number of writers from the magazine. As usual, there are an array of guys who surprisingly slipped down the draft board (Reggie Bush and Peyton Manning in the second round?), as well as others who probably got taken way too high (Peter King's run on rookies?).

So sound off on our draft. What are the best picks? What are the worst picks? Who came away with the best overall team? But just remember we're not playing this out.

What was peter king thinking? Lynch and Peterson were both drafted way to early. Your 1st two picks especially backs are your ancors. He will be severly disapointed this year. Also whats with Boldin going so high! There were atleast 7 better WR left!

August 22, 2007  03:17 PM ET

Marshawn Lynch at 8? Adrian Peterson at 17? Who in the right mind picks a rookie in the first 2 rounds? Boldin before Harrison, Holt, Wayne, Fitzgerald, and TO? Are you kidding me? Kitna before Bulger? Vince Young before McNabb? All I'm going to say is that I wish I was in this league...or should I say that I can only hope the people in my league make the same mistakes!

Peter King should be drug tested after that draft. BTW JQ, why aren't you playing this out? Seems like some easy $$$ for you.

August 23, 2007  12:31 AM ET

Skalocky's draft was garbage. Jamal Lewis as your number 2 RB? Taking a backup TE in the 12th round? Looked like he was drafting off of names and not off of stats.

August 23, 2007  10:55 AM ET

Peter King's draft picks = no surprise.
Peter King as a senior writer = WTF???
Seriously, two rookie RBs as your first two picks? Someone forgot to take their meds...

August 23, 2007  11:26 AM ET

Richard Dietsch had a great draft! Especially for picking late.

August 23, 2007  12:19 PM ET

ditto to all the comments on Peter King. I can't believe the amount of space + pub that guy gets. He's awful at analyzing games + predicting finishes. Lynch, Peterson, Kitna??? I didnt even look at the rest, that's all i needed. was he throwing darts?

August 23, 2007  12:21 PM ET

also, question to people more closely following this position battle... i still see Chester Taylor getting a lot of carries. Who's starting + who do people think will be a better fantasy player.

August 23, 2007  12:56 PM ET

do any of you clowns at cnnsi know whats going on? maybe dr z. can write another article about this "new" fantasy football craze, or they can just hire a couple of people younger than julio franco to talk about sports.

one of my favorite times of the year is reading your bland fantasy "expertise". make some bold predictions. or just go rb, rb, guy you want to interview, guy you want to interview..... honestly quinntong, and king, own up to your HORRIBLE predicitons and analysis. I envy you for your ability to completely miss the dart board and still collect a paycheck.

weak at best.

Peter King is consistently one of the worst fantasy writers and it is no surprise he drafted how he did. I don't think he actually plays fantasy sports.

August 23, 2007  03:23 PM ET

Great, now I have to have those guys from "Eternal Sunshine" come and erase all of the "insider Fantasy Tips" from Peter Kings training camp reports from my brain.

August 23, 2007  03:48 PM ET

Love MMQB but as my buddy Tip said "Peter King's drunk at lunch again".

August 23, 2007  03:51 PM ET

I actually think quinntong did a decent job with his draft. although i would've gone with deshawn foster over fred taylor.

August 23, 2007  04:20 PM ET

OK -

Every member of this Mock Draft should be lined up against the wall and shot. Quintong picked these guys - that's worse than having a bad fantasy draft.

To all of you - this is a nationally-read website/publication (God - I hope it doesn't make it to the mag) reaching millions of sports fan. Any fan with even an ounce of football knoweldge could have drafted than you. A kicker in the 8th round???

This mock draft is an insult. I think I taste vomit in the back of my mouth.

August 24, 2007  01:21 PM ET

Best comment of the draft, from Epstein in the 12 spot after taking Adam Vinatieri in the 9th...

"Better to start a run on Kickers than to end one"

How about "avoid a run on Kickers at all cost, and laugh at managers who don't"

I'll take this year's Gould of the waiver wire (whoever that is) just like last year!

August 24, 2007  01:37 PM ET

It's not as bad as the ESPN draft. I've sent about 30 invites to Michael Smith.

August 25, 2007  08:15 AM ET

I think the fantasy craze is finally making the media sick, and I dont blame them - looks like maybe 3 guys here were serious about the draft and the rest took 3 minutes out of their day to do this and then get back to real work. Funny how the Fantasy-Fanboys can get so critical or guys who make a living at covering sports.

August 25, 2007  04:25 PM ET

Excellent draft Peter King! When you pick up your paycheck, I hope you put on a ski mask and point a gun at the payroll clerk, Because you are robbing SI.

August 26, 2007  08:59 AM ET

Peter King:

1. Doesn't know how fantasy sports work;
2. Doesn't care and just wants to create chatter;
3. Is trying a radical new draft strategy (again);
4. Picks players he likes, regardless of stats;
5. Likes finishing in the cool comfy basement;
6. Is a genius like that guy Norman Einstein.

Peter King's draft was by far the worst in fantasy history.
