Is it just me or did anyone else think that the 2007 Masters golf tournament was a snore fest and perhaps the worst rendition yet? Since when is it okay that a golfer is rewarded with a par? The last time I checked the fun about golf, either playing or watching, is when players make great shots that lead to birdy or eagle opportunities. This years Masters saw players struggling to make par, and being satisfied when they did, and it was as painful to watch as pulling teeth. I like to watch players at a tournament who get rewarded for good shotmaking by having a chance to make birdy as opposed to fighting for par. If I want to see players struggle for par, or worse, I'll go to my local muni and sit on the patio with a beer in my hand!
