In his first start since a brief demotion to AAA, Matt Belisle through splendidly for seven innings.  He came back for the eighth and faced three batters who would all score, but that does not change hte fact that he pitched with a purpose.

All-in-all, he three seven-plus innings allowing four runs, all earned, on eight hits with a career-high nine strikeouts and two walks.  Three of the hits and earned runs came in the eighth.

If Belisle can continue forward, these four names will be in the Reds rotation (barring trade, injuries, etc.):  Aaron Harang, Bronson Arroyo, Belisle and Homer Bailey.
