Regarding: Indians don't want Wickman

Bob Wickman isn't coming back to Cleveland. The veteran closer, in a surprise move, was designated for assignment by the Braves on Friday. The Indians, searching for relievers who can pitch in tight situations, seemed like a logical fit.
IT's about time the Braves dumped this pitcher.  He never did perform for what he was being paid.  Had he held on and closed successfully the Braves would be in first or close with the NYM for the NL East.  John S. needs to get off his tuckus and get those tight wads who bought the Braves to go find a real closer.  They haven't had one in several seasons.

I couldn't agree more with these comments.. It's frustrating to watch this heavy-hitting lineup consistently betrayed by an unsteady relief corps- not to mention a lackluster starting rotation after Hudson and Smoltz. I am fairly certain that the Braves won't be able to find a dependable closer for the last six weeks of the season, however. Does Schuerholz still have Alejandro Pena on his Rolodex ?
