One year ago today, I posted the text below in a blog on this site. I'm again observing a brief moment of silence today to remember the fateful day when the fat S.O.B. packed up the Cardinals and moved them out of St. Louis. It's now been 22 years, and Bidwill still sucks.
As much as Bidwill doesn't deserve any success whatsoever, I still think the Cards should mark the occasion by beating the bejeezus out of the Saints tomorrow.
I'm observing a brief moment of silence this morning. I'm a lifelong, long-suffering Arizona Cardinal fan. 21 years ago today, the fat SOB Bill Bidwill packed up his team and moved them out of St. Louis.
I try to be a forgiving person, but I doubt I'll ever forgive him for this. I know there are Arizonians who are thrillled he moved them there (okay, mostly I'm talking about Eyeshield), but it still represents the most heart-breaking moment of my sports-fan life. The Cards will always be part St. Louis to me.
Anyway. In honor of the occasion, I think the team should go beat the bejeezus out of the Eagles on Sunday. GO CARDS!!!!!!!
