I was really digging the season up to week 7 thru 17.  I realize that the team imploded on many levels, and its not all specifically McD's fault.  After waiting several weeks to let the season sink in, I wanted to evaluate my impressions on a calmed down mind.  Here are my thoughts and perceptions of the 2009 Bronco's.

I love the offensive line, would like more depth, but lets not complain.  Orton did a good job the first six weeks of the season, but not being able to stretch the field with accurate deep throws allows for additional defensive players in the short and intermediate routes.  The defense at first was surprising, Nolan did a great job, but the front seven needs to be upgraded to play the run, it the very thing that has plagued the Broncos for years.

And alas Mcd, saving the best for last, I will admit I hated him from the day they announced his hire, just couldn't makes sense of the hiring of that young of a coach.  Despised every move he made from the handling of the Cutler tantrum, Marshall baby act, and my man Sheff.  I have read many article through out the web, one thing that appears to be a common theme is that McD is a control freak who is mimicing his old boss right down to the hoodie he wears.  I find that bizzare, I would take the many lessons from the Patriots as I could, but create my own style, be my own man, not have the Napoleon complex that he has displayed all year.  Being comfortable about the descisions you make, admit mistakes, and be gracious, cause no one likes a jerk.

But alas it is only my opinion, I feel we are heading in the wrong direction, and with Nolan moving laterally to the Dolphins because McD would not allow Nolan more authority over the defense is nuts, if Parcels thinks he is good enough to hire, it reflects badly on McD.  And what is this stuff that Nolan couldn't speak candidly about his departure, and only saying it was mutual? I find this so junior high that its has embarrrased me.  Be honest and upfront, it's going to get out sooner or later, nip it in the bud.

I want success for the Broncos, I want it done with class, and most importantly I want us to be proud of the whole team.  I dislike the secrecy of it all, grow up, and make descision in the best interest of the club, not your ego.
