I am of the belief that more of something is generally a good thing. When it comes to football, it is a great thing!
Starting at 7pm this evening ESPN will be broadcasting 25 straight hours of college football programming leading up to the season opener with LSU and Mississippi State Thursday night.
Now, when I heard about this I thought to myself "SWEET!" with the belief that I could flip on either ESPN or ESPN2 at any point tonight, in the middle of the night, or when I wake up at 5:30, or when I get home from work and catch college football discussion and breakdowns. Of course that was too good to be true.
What I found out is the 25 hours will be spread across ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN Classic, and ESPN 360. I don't know about you but I don't have ESPNU or Classic. So I really only get about 12 and a half hours of college football. I guess I shouldn't complain too much though. I mean hey, I still get the best of Mike & Mike in the Morning, 1st and 10 as well as repeats of The Bronx is Burning.
Excuse me while I roll my eyes back into position.

I get Classic but 25 hours is an insane amount of football. I thought there was a game on tonight, but it's actually just 4 hours of College Football Live. I have no clue what they can do for 4 hours, but hey I'm still going to check it all out.
