Brett Favre had one of the most amazing seasons of his career. In the next couple weeks after the Super Bowl, we will wonder Brett Favre will retire or not. Let it be noted that, unlike his last two teams the Minnesota Vikings want Brett Favre to return next season. When Minnesota announced that they've signed Brett Favre last year, season tickets sales skyrocketed, jersey sales increased like no other. Any quarterback would love to be quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings. Minnesota has one of the best or perhaps the best offensive line in the NFL. Make no doubt Brett Favre has a tough decision to make. He turns 41 next season and he has one year left on his contract. We can clearly see that Minnesota looks great as a team and will be in good playoff contention next season with or without Brett. It is pretty sure the Vikings are willing to except Brett's avoidance of training camps to rest (Playing for 18 seasons, being in his 40's, and with his numbers he is putting up... I would respect his decision to rest too if it makes him play better). But with all that in mind I think Brett would be an idiot to retire to pass this opportunity up. And what would be his final season (with his contract) he still brings what Minnesota needs to get to the Super Bowl. I still don't think that Minnesota is comfortable with Sage Rosenthal or Tarvaris Jackson. The only other QB that Minnesota will have an eye on this off season is Donovan McNabb and the situation in Philadelphia. He is the only one that could replace Brett Favre. But that is if and only if Philadelphia decides to get rid of McNabb. Plus they would have to compete with a dozen other teams wanting a good QB. Final: Minnesota wants Brett Favre, the team wants Brett Favre, we know Brett Favre can still bring it, Minnesota has an amazing o-line....... So Brett come back for a final farewell.
