After 2 pitches being thrown over the head of Kevin Youkilis, Joba Chamberlain was tossed.

Today, Chamberlain has been handed a 2 game suspension and a fine.

(Undisclosed Amount)

I thought this was a little unncessary. It's not clear cut enough to know for sure if he was really gunning for Youkilis. At first I thought he was, it's kind of hard to accidentally throw 2 hard fastball's in the exact same area over a guy's head. But then, I thought about it. There is no way in HELL that Torre would have told his young pitcher that is being literally handled like an infant to go beam a guy for no apparent reason at the end of a game. So, the only way that Joba could have possibly been gunning for Youkilis is if he did it on his own. But even then, you can tell if you look closely that he just lost control. But that doesnt mean Im not a little aggitated. He nearly put one of my favorite players in the ICU. Anyway...

Boston and New York meet again for the final time September 14th through 16th. All in Boston. I'd be willing to bet that not only do the Yankees get booed profusely, but so does Joba Chamberlain if he makes an apearance.

And I wouldnt be surprised to see the day after one of the games on the bottom line of ESPN News, in their "Breaking News" area that a pitcher from Boston has been suspended.

I can see it now...

"Alex Rodriguez steps into the dish. He's coming in with the MLB leading amount in HR's. There's 2 out in the Top of the 1st. Nothing getting across so far for New York. Beckett takes his signs from Varitek, and goes into his wind up. The pitch...Oh my! Josh Beckett's pitch connects with Alex Rodriguez. A-Rod is down. Oh my goodness. Did you see that?! A-Rod is down. He's writhing in pain in the dirt. Where did Beckett get him? Did he...did he get him in the head? Yes, he did. Josh Beckett threw a 95mph fastball right into the helmet of Rodriguez. Wow, if this rivalry already wasn't heated enough. Oh, and here they come. Here come the Yankees from the dugout. And here come the Red Sox players from their dugout. Oh, and down goes Torre. This is getting ugly. Oh my goodness, down goes Francona. The two managers..."

I wouldn't be surprised either if Boston suddenly arises from this recent slumber and roars through September.

Good job Chamberlain, you just messed with the wrong GIANT.
