This year for our Irish started like a bomb going of in our backyard and that is what practically happend today. In a 33-3 route this shows that Notre Dame is going to need to bring it even more than it has any year before. Also this shows that our QB situation is in DIAR need of some help. Now everyone saying that Brady was awful, now sees that he was actually pretty good because we had a offense around him. I see this season as a rebuilding year, yes we will prolly go to a bowl but i don't see us winning more than 8 or 9 games. Yes i'm not being very optmistic but its the truth, GT just ran our **** OVER and they aren't even that good this season, not ranked, and they murdered us any one want to say ****, ****.......
we'll be in for a long season if something doesn't change and when i mean change i mean we get something working, we can't run our first 20 plays and only have 1 PASS, YES THATS RIGHT WE HAD 20 PLAYS AND WE ONLY THREW IT ONCE, that shows that we need a QB in a HEARTBEAT.........

Wow, Notre Dame put up by far the second lamest duck of the season(cough cough MICHIGAN). To lose like that at home to an unranked team is just embarrassing. The offense looks like it could be one of the worst in the nation, and the defense is at best average. Their is obviously a huge issue at quarterback, and not one of the three looked too good today. If I were Weis, I would honestly start Clausen the rest of the season to get him game reps, cause the other two are not gonna beat teams like Penn State, UCLA, or USC. The Irish would be hard pressed to even beat Michigan. So in conclusion, I believe the best solution here is to start the future now, start Clausen because he's probably the best option at this point, and you also wanna give him his first taste of playing at the college level, cause Notre Dame would be fortunate to play on New Years Day at the end of the year.

Report Offensive CommentI am a fan of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. I know that they have had some losses, but the one thing that really impresses me is the spirit of this team and the school, the fans. As I watch the games, I have noticed the words, Play like a champion. Well, as a former athlete, one not only plays like a champion, you can win like one and you can also lose like one. The only real defeat is when you allow someone else to define who you are based on a win or a loss. Only you and your team define who you are, and when I see those words, play like a champion. I know that everyone here wants to win, but I also know that the ND Fighting Irish will be victorius! Indomitable Spirit Irish!!!!

Report Offensive CommentOkay Notre Dame, hold your heads up high. There are sure a lot of expert commentators throwing all sorts of bs at you, too bad they can't suit up and join you guys on the field. It is sure easy for all these armchair atheletes to sit back and throw insults out at a team that is having a rough start.. Don't give up! My last post I said that the only real defeat is when you allow someone else to define who you are based on a win or a loss. Anyone can win or lose, but not everyone can win like a champion and lose like a champion. If you look at some of the blogs, the negative responses, and the down right insulting and rude responses. How is that anywhere near connected to playing like a champion. Its one thing for the public to be disapointed in the loss, but to be so insulting, shake it off and move forward. These are not people you want to impress, they are the fans you can do without. Yes you got work to do, and some revisions to be made, both defensively and offensively.
A person I knew once demonstrated to the team the importance of the team staying united, to get the job done by laying down on the floor and having the QB try to drag him physically. The QB couldn't get the job done, but when the coach had the rest of the team assist, it was accomplished. The old saying, united we stand, divided we fall. Stand together, win together, lose together, and remain together, put the insults where they belong, and focus on what it is you as a team need to do. Yes, your QB is not as experienced as Brady, but stand together, now more then ever.
I may not be a coach, just a coach's kid, I am not an expert, but I am a person who loves football, and the heart of each and every player that plays like a champion. And to the blogger on another site who said even Touchdown Jesus would be embarrassed, I beg to differ, Touchdown Jesus would be right there telling you guys, heads up, we got a job to do, lets get it done!
