College football rankings, week 2.

Excellent week of NCAA football. Some of the most exciting games for years. I was at the Arch Rivalry game between Mizzou and Illinois. Boy what a game. I screamed byself horse, actually giving myself a headache. I'm so relieved Mizzou won though.

Anyways, here are the new AP rankings, accoring to me:

1) (LW:1)USC:

2) (2)LSU:

3) (3)West Virginia:

4) (6)Florida: did great against Western Kentucky

5) (4)Texas: almost lost it to Arkansas State in the 4th, which is why they fall.

6) (8)Oklahoma: Oklahoma deserved to move up after amazing preformance.

7) (7)Wisconsin: played well, but Oklahoma gave up less and scored more.

8) (10)Louisville: did better than VT in all catagories.

9) (12)Cal: Winning against another ranked team in week 1 is huge, and is going to give Cal alot of momentum.

10) (11)Ohio State: Won against a cupcake, only reason they move up is because Michigan moves down.

11) (13)Georgia: Good game, at least better than VT.

12) (9)Virginia Tech: Unconvinging win against East Carolina, will improve, though.

13) (14)UCLA: Great game for offense, pretty god for defence.

14) (16)Rutgers: Defense did awesome, as well as offense.

15) (17)Penn State: lights out defense, lightning offese give Penn Sate the nod up.

16) (19)Florida State: DNP, but rise because of poor play or losses.

17) (20)Nebraska: Strong win in offensive massacre.

18) (5)Michigan: Sickly unprepared team loses to supposed cupcake team Div-AA Appalachian State.

19) (18)Auburn: 4th quarter comeback saves embarassment of losing to K-State.

20) (15)Tennessee: Losing to another ranked opponent isn't so bad, but it could have been closer.

21) (21)Arkansas: Offense did well in opener against Troy.

22) (23)Hawaii: Destroys Northern Colorado, Brennen throws 6 TDs, then doesn't play second half.

23) (22)TCU: Shuts out Baylor, offense plays up to par.

24) (24)Boise State: Plays great, but so did most everybody in front of them, so no movement.

25) (25) Texas A&M: No where to go but...nowhere. Played well, though.

Way too kind to the Wolverines

Boise State and Tennesse below Michigan? What the %*#*???

I think Michigan should be out the top 25. Honestly, you think any of the teams below them would have been as unprepared as Michigan???? Exactly......hell no!!!!!

Report Offensive Comment

what about South Florida no love for them?

Report Offensive Comment

perfectly legit! and his comes out before the "real ones". Not only that, but the AP and CNN/coaches polls offer no explanations. Well done, Terminator!

Wait a minute. You forgot someone. Appalachian State - 25th ranked team in the nation.

Report Offensive Comment

Oklahoma will go undefeated this year, and there's no way Texas should be ranked higher.

How much did the Michigan boosters pay you to keep them in the top 25. I'm assuming this is the 1-A poll, not the 1-AA.

Not sure where you got this list, but it is not the AP top 25. In the AP 25 Michigan is not ranked. Here is the AP 25 from the horse's mouth http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/fronts/COLLEGEFOOTBALL_25?SITE=CASRP&SECTION=HOME

Horse crap, Arkansas should be more like 15 or up. You all can speculate about Alabama, but let me tell ya, Alabama will be humiliated by Mr. Heisman and his partner in crime #25 Jones. By the time we get to a good team, Big Ben Cleveland and Crazy Glue Monk will back to recieve all the TD presents **** or **** throws up. So for all you SEC haters, go away, and for all you Arkansas haters, watch out, D-Mc and the clan are coming at cha. Wooo Pig Sooie! Beat LSU.

Michigan fell way out of the rankings.....Thanks UM for screwin up our big 10 rankings

As far as Arkansas ranked in the Top-15, I consider their victory over Troy to be analogous to Oregon's victory over Houston. I don't have Oregon ranked in the Top-25 and I know Houston would kick the holy crap out of Troy.

Both Oregon and Arkansas gave up 27, neither should be ranked on that performance. Defense should be given priority in the early season games. Now if Arkansas rips off five or six wins in the SEC, that's a different story...same with Oregon. But based on week one performance and week one only, without speculation or projection I agree with the blog author as they should be ranked at the tail end of the Top-25. South Florida - based on their 28-13 win over juggernaut Elon? Give me a break!

Agree with the Comments on the Michigan deal - shouldn't be protected in the polls like the CFA die-hards always are. If they beat Oregon and win the next two weeks to get back to 3-1, then yes, they are back in the Top-25. Appy State would beat a number of teams like Michigan for they have an excellent read oriented system and have speed and athleticism. If they fell behind it would be a different story because teams could control the clock and limit possession, but APPY got ahead and forced Michigan out of their comfort zone. Wolves are build around Power football much like the rest of Big-10 Nation.
