33-3.  That's ugly.  If you are optimistic, you will look at it as 26-3 because they ran up the score at the end.  There were multiple reasons for this loss.  I will cover the main ones here.

Charlie Weis-Charlie, Charlie, Charlie.  What were you thinking?  The guy who gets the snap is the quarterback!  He's suppose to throw!  Demetrius Jones threw it 3 times.  Maybe you could have brought the wide receivers into the game before it got out of hand.  Sharpley and Clausen would prove later in the game that the Tech pass defense wasn't anything to write home about.  Maybe if you scored quickly, you could have kept the crowd in the game.  You could here a pindrop in the crowd.  This game was not fun for the fans.  Bloodbaths against your team are never enjoyable.  You also left Travis Thomas in the game without putting in Aldridge, Allen, Hughes, or Jabbie in for a long series.  C'mon Charlie!  I expected your A game!

The offensive line-Is it possible that an O-line can be worse than these guys?  The Tech linebackers were in the backfield at the blink of an eye.  They couldn't stop anything or anyone.  I thought that John Sullivan was an All-American.  Hopefully, Charlie will put in some freshmen who are very talented, but inexperienced.  Some of the players on the line are the scrubs that Willingham recruited.  The seniors and juniors on this team just plain out suck.  Those classes were embarrasing.  Charlie has got the talent on the line.  Maybe he will use it.

Demetrius Jones-Demetrius was awful.  He fumbled twice and had about a 2.5 yards per carry average.  He seemed panicked.  When he was behind center, he didn't seem comfortable.  I thought he was the running QB.  Clausen and Sharpley avoided the pass rush better than him because they were calm, cool, and collected.  He had very bad happy feet.

My dad-He bought a gameday hat.  The only game he has bought a gameday hat for was Michigan last year.  Coincidence?  I think not!

I'm not trying to be Mr. Optimistic because I'm not.  I turn on my teams as fast as possible, but after thinking about this massacre for 24 hours, this isn't as bad as it appears.  With the turnovers and shanked punts, the Ramblin' Wreck started out with great field position.  The defense was very good even if the score doesn't say that.  This is only one game.  There are still 11 more before bowl seasons.  These problems will be fixed, and Notre Dame will make it to a bowl game.  Don't give up on them yet.
