The best time of the year is just around the corner. Well, sort of. I believe without a shadow of a doubt that the World Cup is the best sporting event on earth, and this one will also be a very good competition. Look for this to be the turning point of Women's Soccer in the United States. With a good tourney and a large fan base, the Women's league could become very strong once again. So here we go.
Group A
1. Germany
2. Argentina
3. England
4. Japan
Expect this group to be a real battle for the second spot in the Quarter-Finals. I see Germany running away with first and then a true scramble will occur.
Group B
1. United States
2. Sweden
3. Nigeria
4. Korea DPR
This is the best group without a doubt. The two best teams will easily run away with the top two spots. On September 14, the group will be decided when Sweden takes on the USA.
Group C
1. Norway
2. Australia
3. Canada
4. Ghana
Norway easily runs away with the group, the other spots are hard fought.
Group D
1. China
2. Brazil
3. Denmark
4. New Zealand
A very tough group. The one question is, can Marta lead Brazil past China or even into the next round?
