See, this is what I was hoping for. Lots of discussion and debate. I am trying not to be too much of a homer on this list but, as I said about the Cowboys at 6, I'm a Cowboys fan, so unless they start out 0-4, they will not drop out of MY top 10. I will say this; Wade Philips scares me as coach. Remember, I am just a sports fan and this list is based on my opinion and what little research I am able to put into it. The Steelers have a much better QB than the Ravens, but the Ravens are still the team to beat and perhaps they should be in my top 10, but I did not see them play this off season. As far as Chi-town, they only have their defense. I'm sorry, but defense will not win every game. Not only do they not have a QB, but Cedric Benson is looking more and more like a bust. Right now I don't think their offense is capable of scoring more then 14 points. Even though they will still probably win their weak division. I am not a Saints fan, but I just have a feeling they will be more improved over last season. The rest, we'll find out Thursday. Heck, I might even start a blog about who I think will win the games. Ooh, that's sounds like fun the more I think about it. Stay tuned on Wednesday.
There are a lot of good points made in the comments and this list may very well change after the 1st week. It is difficult to judge a team based on backups playing most of the games. I did the best that my feeble mind could. AS Dr. Z likes to remind us, after about the halfway point things will start to even out and the rankings will be more static than they are when they start out.
I know everyone thinks their team should be ranked over someone else's team, but bear with me. This is my first attempt at it. I welcome opinions and comments.
