Seriously, you'd think none of them watched their precious ND get stomped on for four quarters, and yet all they can talk about is ND's QB situation, and that their defense looked slightly better than last years and that their O-Line looked atrocious.

They were going against a team that returns 17 of 22 starters (19 of 24 if you include the kickers) and 8 of the 11 on defense.  This is not a bad team.

In fact, I would be able to easily argue that GT's win over ND was far more impressive than USC's win over Idaho.  USC had better players, a huge amount of seniors returning, and is loaded with future NFL stars, while Idaho is a bottom tier WAC team.  GT was playing with lesser athletes (think 1-2-3 star recruits), while ND is playing with 3-4-5 star recruits.  ND had a better season last year than Idaho, and, while they may not be that good this year, they are probably better than Idaho.

And now, after they start talking about rankings, the statement always comes up, "Is GT that good, or is ND that bad?"  How about "GT dominated a team with superior talent, and won in a more impressive fashion than many of the top-tier teams playing patsies"?

Sorry guys, maybe I have homer glasses on but I think this is ridiculous.

FJ - I couldn't agree with you more. Tech's offense might have benefited from the crappy adaptation of ND's switch on defense, but the stinging, swarming defense we saw in their offensive backfield all day isn't anything new.

I also agree. I'm a ND fan, and I think the game Saturday was one-sided due more to how GOOD Ga Tech is, and not how bad ND is. ND nas some issues, but GT has a VERY VERY good defense - just like last year. This was not a good game for Weis to break in a very inexperienced offense, but this was a good learning experience for a young ND team. They should rebound and win around 6 games, and I see no reason GT can't win the ACC except for maybe Va Tech.
