In response to:
Tiki: Coughlin forced me out
Tiki Barber says he would still be playing football if the Giants had a new head coach. The recently retired star running back has used his new memoir to rip Big Blue boss Tom Coughlin, blaming his former head coach for driving him from the game he loved. "[Coughlin] robbed me of what had been one of the most important things I had in my life, which was the joy I felt playing football," Barber wrote. "I had lost that. He had taken it away."
Is it me or does it seem like every month Tiki is trying to boost his face time in the media by making claims against his former team. Next thing you know he will be talking about how Brandon Jacobs was taking vitamin B before games, or Strahan was making amatuer bodoir pictures to finance his alimony payments. He's not a respectable journalist. You don't hear other player turned jornalists doing a kiss and tell book or flapping their jaw about their former team just for some free publicity. Is Tiki that inconsequential that he has to stir the pot just to get some media attention?
Having said that, I'm sure there is a grain of truth to this which makes me think there are more players on the Giants that feel this way. Could it be that even with such talent on this team that it will take a new coaching regime for the G-men to actually play to their potential? This is the question that will be answered in a matter of days.
