Since I have been harping on this all season let me say that I was not surprised to hear Charlie Manuel say that we MAY have seen the last of Cole Hamels. The Phillies injuries are ALMOST ALWAYS worse than they originally say. Look it up. I don't get it.
Speaking of Mr. Hamels it seems he may have opened a can of worms. When asked if he was suggesting that if the Phillies employed somebody to work regularly on his back he would not be on the disabled list. He said, " I don;t think so, I really don't". Hamels mentioned that he sees a chiropactor twice a week during Spring Training and during the season when at home. He maintains that on the road it is hard to get appointments and he thinks that his current elbow injury is related to his back and might have been avoided if he could maintain this schedule on the raod.
I do not know about chiropractors. My daughter who was a high school runner swears by them. I would suggest that if Cole Hamles who will be our ace for a long time thinks he needs one and at least mentally and it will make him feel better then the Phillies should try to accomodate him.
