This group is back, so to speak. DJTG is now the Commish, if you will. And I've been given blogging privelages for the MLB Fan Club. I'm loving it. Coletrain also has been allowed to be a blogger.
Coletrain knows a lot more about baseball than I do. He follows it like a religion. I'm more spaced out as far as what I follow. I follow golf, NASCAR, NCAAB, NBA, NCAAF, NFL, MLB, College Baseball, and then a lot of my time to music. So, I'm not going to even remotely attempt to rival Coletrain. I will try and bring you all shorter blogs that pack a slight humerous punch.
As far as this post...
Let's talk October! It's early September, and I can already smell it. The divisional races are really heating up. Especially the NL West race. The Wild Card race is moving in the AL. Mariners and Yanks going at it as we speak. As far as October, I can't wait to be able to come home after school and watch an ALDS/NLDS game. I can't wait until the Angels knock the Yankees out of the playoffs in the ALDS. (I've got the Yanks clinching the WC) I can't wait until the Cubs make the playoffs, and then sadly get the boot from the Padres. I can't wait until the Red Sox mow through whoever they play in the ALDS. I can't wait until the Red Sox and the Angels go at each other in the ALCS. I'd just like to fast forward through the entire NL side of the bracket. Watching some of those teams makes me yaaawwwwnnn. I've got the Red Sox meeting the San Diego Padres in the World Series. What a matchup would that be? The Padres with one of the more dominant pitching staffs in ALL of baseball. The Red Sox with their own dominant pitching staff, starting rotation and the bullpen. Will Milton Bradley throw something into the stands? Will, God forbid, Ortiz pull a Bill Buckner during one of the games he's forced to play 1st? Will the Padres even score a run the entire series? Will Francona get a ticket from the fashion police? Will the series go more than 4 games? Really, the Red Sox would win that series in 5-6 games. Both have the pitching staffs, duh. But, the Red Sox have an offense. The Padres maybe have 2-3 guys who are dangerous. Milton Bradley, Brian Giles, and Adrian Gonzalez. The biggest game of the entire series would be if the teams were able to line up Peavy and Beckett in the same game.
But that's just my take on what will go down. I want to know what you schmucks think. (Just Kidding) Say who you think will win a division. Say who you think will win a Wild Card spot. Say who you think will run the table in the playoffs. Gimme some upset alerts. And I dont want any homer picks either! I don't want anybody saying the Diamondbacks will win the World Series, and then the guy's profile name is: "D-BACKSRULEALL". Basically, if you want to pick your favorite team, at least give a substantial reason. I'm a Red Sox fan, but it isn't illogical to say they got a shot. They've been the BEST team in baseball all year long. So...Let's here it people!!! What ya got?!?!

(This post was more of an icebreaker. Nothing special.)
