In response to:
Miles suggested for Michigan job
If Lloyd Carr retires, (Lafayette, LA) Daily Advertiser writer Glenn Guilbeau says Louisiana State coach Les Miles should look at Michigan. The New Orleans Times-Picayune reported that there were no direct questions made to Miles about his possible interest, though Miles did appear uncomfortable at times when talking about Appalachian State's upset of the Wolverines.
Miles would be a great choice to replace Carr and fans and alum would support the decesion. I think Miles would love to coach Michigan. Any one who thinks otherwise is a fool. Michigan is one of the most respected names in football, one game and a few bad BCS lossess does not mean coach's would not jump on a chance at the Michigan job. As for Tressel rooting for Michigan, I would hope as a fellow BIG TEN coach he would as well as other coaches. Any non-confrence loss hurts the BIG TEN power standings. I root for other BIG TEN schools, just not when they play Michigan.
