We can sleep well tonight Red Sox fans. The Sox officially eliminated the Orioles from AL East contention tonight.
J.D. Drew is horrible. He's got 7 HR's and 49 RBI's and single-handedly killed rallies twice in the past week. He hit into an inning-ending DP tonight with the bases loaded. Nice signing Theo. I never liked the signing. Here's a guy whose hit 100 RBI's once in his career (100 - last year). I know Theo has his statistical analysis, but $14 million per for this guy? I'd much rather have spent the money on Johnny.
Papelbon in the 9th inning is just scary. I wouldn't want to be the guy on the receiving end of that death stare.
Reggie Wayne is awesome.
The A.P. changed their rules so that 1-AA teams can now receive votes in the poll. Too bad it comes one week too late. It's tough to vote for a team that follows up Michigan with a Division II opponent. It would have been interesting to see App. State get some votes this week. Who knows, they still may.
The Verizon Madden commercial is hilarious. If you haven't seen it, Madden yells to a guy at a yard sale, "Let's see that arm". They guy gets in position, licks his fingers, fades back and throws the ball into his neighbor who is cutting the hedges. The neighbor gets hit by the ball and cuts off the head of the animal shrub he's been working on.
I hate my fantasy receivers: Andre Johnson, Braylon Edwards and Darrell Jackson. They all have the potential to put up big numbers, but all find themselves in less than desirable positions. And Cedric Benson as my 3rd RB scares me. His 2.3 YPG in the pre-season isn't making me feel all warm and fuzzy either.
