so im making this blog because i think people just completely forgot about Jeff Garcia

Garcia is currently a free agent and is 39 years old. He is a 4 time pro bowler with his last coming in 2007, 2 seasons ago

 I was thinking who he was better than and i came up with this:

• JaMarcus Russell/Bruce Gradkowski- which ever one is in, Garica is still better
• Jake Delhome / Matt Moore- Delhome was great last year but this year was just sickening to watch and his back up Moore just doesnt know how to play QB
• Mark Bulger- the Rams have also played Kyle Boller and Keith Null and i just don't see why the Rams think any of those options are better than Garcia
• Jason Campell- I really think the Redskins should stick with Campell but they badly need a coaching change and i think Campell could succeed but the Redskins should have at least had him on their roster, Colt Brennan's throwing motion will not allow him to be good in the NFL
• David Garrard- he has had a decent season this year and has really connected with Mike Sims-Walker. The Jags really could have a legit playoff team if they had Garcia under center. They are still in the wild card hunt but Garcia would be a better option than Garrard

Im not writing this saying that someone should go out and sign him right now, im writing this to show that someone should have signed him because he would have helped one of those teams i talked about

From what i understand there are 3 reasons why Garcia was released by the Raiders

He is a west coast offense QB- Even though he was in Oakland which is on the west coast apparently he didn't fit in there

It showed the commitment to Russell- Some said releasing Garcia showed that Russell was the starting QB whether we liked it or not, and for the majority of football fans, it the not

Al Davis- who knows what he's thinking, its not worth trying to figure him out

Garcia was still a quality QB who could have been a big difference for a team. Now i think hes done, he'll be 40 next year and there is a pretty strong QB class coming in
