If they can keep the prospects.

Let's face it, Chipper Jones will be retiring in the coming years.

Troy Glaus is a one year filler.

Derek Lowe is aging

As is Tim Hudson.

The Braves have a solid group of young players on the Major League team to go with several big prospects.

On the team now, they have the following solid young players

C- Brian McCann

2B- Martin Prado

SS- Yunel Escobar

CF- Nate McLouth

utility- Omar Infante

SP- Jair Jurrjens

SP- Tommy Hanson

If the Braves can keep these players in the organization, the Braves starting 8 will look something like this in 5 years.

C- Brian McCann- already one of the best catchers in the majors and is only 26

1B- Freddie Freeman- Rated as a top 60 prospect, he has tore up the minors showing decent average and good power.

2B- Martin Prado- He is still young and is hitting for a high average.

3B- Omar Infante- This guy seems to always come up in the clutch.  He is still young and I would like to have him in the lineup now.

SS- Yunel Escobar- Very clutch hitter with solid defense.

LF- Jordan Schaefer- He had a tough rookie season, but he had wrist problems, and another season in the minors could do him wanders.

CF- Nate McLouth- He had a rough season last year, but he has shown that he has what it takes to be a good player.

RF- Jason Heyward- Has there been a more anticipated offensive player within the organization in recent memory?

The pitching staff has some good prospects as well.

In 5 years if these players stay in the organization, the rotation will be something like this.

Jair Jurrjens- Under 25 and is already the best pitcher on the team(Hope his MRI goes well)

Tommy Hanson- Need I say more?

Kris Medlin- I think his time in the bull pen will do him wanders.  He was impressive at times last season.  Remember, he was called up before Hanson.

Julio Teheran- Was on the top 50 prospects list.

Arodys Vizcaino- Brought over in the Javy Vazquez trade.  He is a very solid prospect.
