A few hours have passed since the Bills lost another heartbreaker on, get this, a field goal, so I have gathered my thoughts to bring you, well, these thoughts on the game.
- First off, my thoughts are with injured TE Kevin Everett. We can only hope that his spinal injury is not serious. These sorts of injuries remind us how brutal the game is.
- The Bills' offense should be the unit charged with closing games, not the defense. The defense did exactly as it was designed to do - "bend not break" (I really hate that cliché).
- The Bills knew going into this game what the Broncos had at corner, so find some ways around it.
- I am giving J.P. Losman one strike; he did not play well or even passable. I would give him some room for error, but he is in his fourth year now and told fans all summer about how this offense was ready to fly.
- The play calling was terrible. A bomb on third and five to close the game against those already-mentioned great CBs? Please.
- Passing plays to Marshawn Lynch? Where were they? It was like trading in a Ford Explorer for a Chevy Corvette and going less than 40mph on the freeway. Let this guy go.
- When are the Bills going to go from a team on the cusp of winning these tight games to actually winning them? When the Bills win these types of games against good teams, I will know the playoffs are not far behind.
- The Bills go to New England in two weeks without the team's starting free safety and a corner - it could be really ugly - just look at what the Pats did to a playoff team from last year today. I am looking for a comfortable blindfold.

Nice blog. I think Buff's D played pretty well, being a Denver fan I though Broncos were gonna crush the Bills. Cutler had a big day yardage wise, but still only had 1 TD. I think Bills deffinately need to get rid of Losman if they ever want to win.

Thanks for the comment. Denver is in a good place right now. Cutler is a better QB right now in his second year than J.P. is in his fourth, I fear. Losman's window might be closing for sure.
