The Phillies picked up 1/2 game on the idle Padres last night in a dramatic 6-5 come back win. The Padres open a 3 game series with the Dodgers tonight.

I don't think enough attention has been given to Chase Utley, who is leading the National League in hitting. Utley is hitting .339 and in 2nd place is Matt Holliday whi is hitting .334.
I have never been a big fan of Brett Myers as a closer. His ERA this year as a closer is 3.26, not the ERA I want my closer to have. I want the Phillies to find a closer this off season if possible and ONLY use Myers next year if absolutley necessary.
The Phillies rank 14th out of 16 in National League team ERA. I hope we score 8 runs a game down the stretch.
Looking ahead, the Phillies play the Mets this weekend and the Padres play the Giants.
