My name is Phil. I am a Houston Astros and Philadelphia Flyers fan. I've been an Astros fan as long as I can remember. I've been a Flyers fan since October 1995, when I bought EA Sports NHL '95 and picked Philadelphia by accident. Ever since I scored the first goal with Eric Lindros, they've been my team.
I followed the Flyers to another playoff loss in 1997, and most every year since then. I'd watch more, but ESPN has something against the NHL.
I followed the Astros through their numerous playoff flameouts and dreadful play during the regular season. Can't forget the World Series of 2005, when they forgot how to play.
I would have started writing sooner, but there's not much positive for either team. Add in the fact that I finally want the world to know how I feel about my teams.
The Flyers are actually looking good, on paper that is. In the next week or so, I'm going to break down their team and tell the positives and negatives.
The Astros, on the other hand, look good on paper as well. The problem is: THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO WIN!
By the way, I'm not completely negative, but this has been a rough couple months for both teams.
