Les Miles is the winningest coach in LSU history over a five year period (51-14) and that includes Nick Saban (49-16) , but still many Tiger Fans are saying this is it for Les unless he can return the Tigers to the Top in the SEC.  That of course will not be very easy with the current King of the Hill being Nick Saban at Alabama and right there with him will be Urban Meyers and the Gators. Not to mention that just about every SEC School will be on the uprise with their own set of high expectations.

The LSU fans are now spoiled rotten and they will no longer settle for being just a good team that goes to a bowl every year, especially with the outstanding talent the Tigers have assembled the last few years.   LSU fans expect Miles to meet and beat Nick Saban every year and keep LSU as one of the premier programs in the country always in the SEC and BCS Championship hunt every year.  Miles has failed to meet the fans expectations for the last two years and he feels the pressure, but he promises to turn things around this next year.   At the recent " Bayou Bengal Recruiting Bash" Les Miles spoke and told the fans that he has heard them loud and clear and he has the plans, the players, and the staff  to fix things next year.

Les is well liked by most people as a person and he represents LSU with honor and class, but he has not proven he can match witts and coach with the big boys like Nick Saban .  I don't think anyone really thinks Les MIles can coach one on one or match up with  Nick Saban, but Les Miles instead will have to rely on getting and keeping a good competent coaching staff that can teach and work together as a staff if he is going to be able to stay with the Alabama's and Florida's, and not to mention all of the other rising SEC teams like Auburn.

One thing for sure is that Les has been feeling the pressure and he seems motivated and determined  to turn things around and again challenge for the SEC Championship.  If he can't accomplish a major turn around and make that team play up to it's ability, then the Tiger faithful will be all over him and won't let up until he is replaced.  Too many coaches have come and gone at LSU, and the Tiger Fans are not a patient bunch.
