I am posting this to expose a few ways that people are cheating on this site and a few gray areas that I would like your feed back on if you believe it is infact cheating.

Cheating,

  1.    Making several fake accounts just for votes. This form of cheating is becoming a real problem due to the fact that you cant see it. Lets say you have a TD with someone and they have a pretty good argument and all the sudden they have 8 votes to your 2, this could be because there are infact 8 people out there who side with him, or infact he has fake accounts and is inflating his score ,now comments are really the only semi- form of proof that is why I feel that it is very important to leave a comment anytime you vote for some one otherwise you are a unk vote. Which can be very harmful to the person you are voting for if they rack up several of these unk votes, they could be called a cheater when infact they are nothing of the sort. So please leave comments when you vote.

  2.    Heres one that is kind of clever, Creating a fake account and then opening a TD with your real account. Usually they make some lame and I mean lame TD like "Baylor will win the National Championship" then they just make lame arguments and look like an idiot with there fake name all the while they are getting all the votes on there actual account. This is pretty clever in the fact that you dont have to create so many fake accounts to win a TD, just one to start a lame TD.

Now the previous two are clear cut examples of cheating that cannot be denied. Heres the grey area. Let me ask you do you feel that it is cheating if you go to your friends and message them for votes? Now I know this depends on what friends or what the relationship is, such as I believe it may be cheating if its on a "you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours" basis. But if your only like come check out my TD, I feel like that is ok because you just giving them a heads up on a TD that they may be intrested in, your friends have free will to vote for who ever they feel deserves the vote.
